Mobile webshop

We have finalized the development of a hybrid mobile application for Kutil, a leading hardware and home improvement retailer in Croatia. Tailored for distribution via Apple App Store and Google Play, the app seamlessly brings the full web shop experience to mobile users. Its intuitive, responsive interface allows browsing, price checking, and purchasing—all within a unified user experience on smartphones and tablets.

Hybrid architecture and server-side HTML5 content
The app utilizes a hybrid software model: native shell components combined with HTML5-based content delivered from our server. This design enables real-time updates of prices, images, product descriptions, and offers without requiring users to download app updates. Instead, changes made at the CMS level are immediately reflected in the app—improving update cycles, reducing deployment friction, and lowering maintenance overhead.

Optimized user interface for mobile shopping
Our focus on mobile-first design ensures a fast, fluid, and one-handed navigation experience. The interface features streamlined menus, large clickable zones, and a clean layout. Advanced search with auto-complete, filtering by attributes such as category or price, and user history and favorites features allow seamless product discovery. Checkout is compartmentalized into clear steps, supporting multiple payment methods (credit cards, mobile wallets, etc.) to enable swift and secure transactions.

Cross-platform distribution and streamlined maintenance
We prepared the app with all required visual assets, metadata localization, and privacy policies for compliance with App Store and Play Store guidelines. Thanks to the central web content approach, Kutil can adjust product offerings on the fly—no new app submissions needed. Maintenance primarily involves monitoring server health, CMS updates, and OS compatibility, ensuring long-term stability and a consistent user experience without frequent version releases.

Functional advantages of the hybrid approach
A truly hybrid model bridges the gap between fully native and web-based apps. It enables cost-efficient development and maintenance across platforms, injects real-time content delivery, and supports future feature expansion such as push notifications, loyalty program integration, and personalized promotions. The result is a polished user experience indistinguishable from native, with flexibility and speed of delivery that cater to rapidly evolving market demands.

Expected outcomes and future roadmap
Kutil is poised to enhance mobile conversion rates, improve user retention, and strengthen brand presence with this app. Future steps include integrating analytics to monitor user behavior, iterating based on customer feedback, and potentially rolling out localized versions for expansion into new markets. Our solution lays a robust technological foundation for Kutil’s ongoing growth in mobile commerce.
